this is really a vb question (had no choice), but i am posting it here because of the faith i have in VFP programmers.

i am using the inet control to retrieve a text file (.txt). Once I have ftped the file to my harddrive i open it and step through the file line by line. The problem is that the line input command does not recognize the end of line. I know the problem resides in the ftp, because I can ftp the file outside of my code, open the file and view the data that is there. The data is line by line instead of a continuous line with a block to identify the line feed. How can I use the inet control to ftp the file and not get the block for the line feed. Thanks for the help.
