hi, all i've problem with my client-server program.

example :

1. i've connect to sql server with odbc
2. when i want to insert/update/delete, how do i check if
the service of sql server/connection to sql server is on/off.
3. i've try many way but it doesn't work, the cursor and handle value
always return the same value even it's on/off.
4. please help me
