I've been having very strange date behavior working with SQL from VFP 8.

If I blank a date (select it and hit backspace) and then update the table it stays blank and everything 'looks' ok. However when you requery the data from the backend it has plugged in "01/01/2000 12:00AM". i can't even come up with a decent work around because everything from the FoxPro shows the field is empty but by the time it makes it to the backend it has a value.

this is important because users frequently decide later to blank purchase dates to reset for stock returns.

Any ideas?
