Hi everyone:

I am trying to set up word templates on my Samba server. I created a folder called "templates" on the server, made sure everyone has read/write access, made sure that i have all the templates in that folder, made sure that it is a shared folder, and then modified the location within word on the client computer to access the templates on the samba server.

I am getting an error message when I do "File" then "New" while in word. The error message reads:
"The User Templates folder "(folder name)" was not found. Do you want to create this folder now?". If I select "yes", then all the templates show up from the proper location. However, this error message happends every time I do "file/new". if i select "no", then i am left with a blank document only.

any suggestions? thanks
