I have a recurring and seemingly random C5 fatal error using VF8sp1 on WinXP.I have been trying for weeks to track this down, but the "randomness" of the fatal error is making it extremely difficult to debug.

The VFP8Err.log has cited program lines that turn out to be things like "CLEAR WINDOW ALL", "READ EVENTS", "REPORT FORM ....", "USE IN MyTable" etc. Is this VFP8ERR.LOG just a wild goose chase or is there some rhyme and reason to it?

I tried cleaning up any object references I may have had by setting any container's object reference properties to .null. but I continue to get the fatal error. Is there a way to tell if there are any dangling object references?

Thanks,
Alan
