I thought the same way until I had cats and children and would come home to a pile of tp on the floor underneath the role. Now its underneath for me all the way!

As for your other thoughts I agree, a piece of paper doesn't make anyone any smarter. Just as a title doesn't instantly give one the power to grow their own brain cells. Quite the contrary IMHO...
