>I reckon that if the demi-crats actually worked together and had a strong leader to rally behind then they could beat bush easily enough. as it is, or at least as it seems from this side of the pond, the demi-crats are more about in-fighting than electing a real contender. of all the elections in recent times they have a real chance of beating bush, at this point 12 years ago clinton had no chance but i think that even at this early stage the democrats do, but only if they get their house in order. concentrated attacks on government policy (or lack of) to score political points would greatly increase their chances of winning and provide a solid platform on which to run. my 2pence.
I hope (or is it just wishful thinking) that what they are doing now is just the subtle veronica (or whatever's the name of the corrida manouver) to make the gops sleep, and then do them before they wake up.
