John,
there is a differnce between Intellisence works in Command window and editor. On editor the use of active vars und recent fields is prohibited. You need to alter foxcode.dbf

To get the list of vars declared with LOCAL:
If you use VFP 8.0 enter zloc[SPACE] to get the vars. An improved script is available as file#18496 in download area.
If you use VFP 7.0 use the file mentioned before.

>use races
>replace ^

>at this point a window will popup with a list of fields to select from. But if I do this in the code editor, no go. The same with variables. If I type m. in the command window I willl get a list a variables. No go in the code editor. I strongly type my variables ie: "Local mvVar as string" .
>I have the table as a free table. Is it that I have to have a database and add my table to it? If someone could please take the time to explain. Intellisinse can really make your life easier. I have read a lot of help topics regaurding this and from what I have read you should be able to have these features in the editor also.
