1. the parameter is handled internaly by intellisense.
IOW the code in Data will be executed by intellisense, and to adress some functions you need a handle to intellisense. That's the parameter.

2. It does not matter if you open via use or the button as long as the record is appended. It's just a dbf.

Check on Intellisense manager, Page "Advanced", Button "Edit Properties" that "lAllowCustomDefScripts" is set to T.

Set uniqueid to _0SB0V13IZ

Check if other scripts are running (scripts are records with S in field Type)
