Thank you Sergey for the reply, ... always very helpful. According to the thread you referred to, grid height on XP must be at least 20. I checked my grid1.height=267. Also, the .exe works on other XP computers except for the new HP/Compaq d530 computer (with same XP pro OS). And I have another form with grid that runs succesfully on the HP computer & this form's grid.height=240. Is there other things I'm missing? Please help!!!!!

The .exe will run fine up to a point where data is retrieved using ODBC. In this case, the error message is: Program error: error with grid1 - height: expression evaluated to an illegal value. I'm guessing that the program is trying to populate the grid with data (retrieved with SQLconnect & SQLExec) when the error occurs. The .exe runs fine with the 1st 2 screens (no data retrieved from table on these 2 forms), & when it is trying to load the 3rd screen (needing data from table, retrieve with SQLconnect/SQLExec), the error message pops up.
