>Tamar
You have got to be kidding. Ever hear of the word "jargon" Tamar? There are all sorts of references to the word recurse in the I/T world. The definitive source of English - the Oxford Dictionary of the English Language - always plays catch-up. It is not as though the writer just "made it up".
What...because you are teaching a "communications" course now - you are going to dispense English and grammar lessons to the UT now?
The genesis of a word arises through its usage. Only through adoption and usage does it then join the pantheon of recognized words in the dictory - whether it be Oxford, American Heritage, etc.
To say that your "opinion" of the writer is lowered due to the use of the word "recurse" is about as shortsighted and dimwitted as it gets.
If you are this closed-minded, I feel sorry for those plonking down the $'s to attend your class.. < s >...
