Actually, you can do this without GENSCRNX. In the Message snippet, put:

"Your message here" NOMODIFY

If you don't need a message for the edit region, use the empty string ("") instead. GENSCRN.PRG will simply add the NOMODIFY at the end of the @...EDIT line in the .SPR.
