>California is ranked worst in the nation in caring for its roads. Our gasoline taxes are among the highest in the nation. The purpose of the gas taxes is to pay for those items stated above and a part of our State Constitution. However, years ago our State government decided to place the gasoline tax revenue into the General Fund and use it for other purposes. That is our reality and I have a suggestion how to help ease our State Budget Crisis.

>Workman’s Compensation is said to rise to $20 Billion in California this year. Simply take all these funds and place them into the General Fund. Who needs Workman Compensation? After all, our new governor has decided to cut the budgets and raise fees for those who can least afford such actions.

>There are many people unemployed in our state who could and would take the position of an injured employee.

>Every dog has to take care of him/herself. There is no reason the state should take care of anyone – except the politicians!

There's an interesting piece in today's Sacramento Bee about how California spent its way into its current mess. Get this, when the rich get richer many people benefit but when they get poorer many people get hurt.

Happy reading.
