Hi.
Is there a way of setting the 'Background Colour ' of a control (Text Box or Checkbox etc) so that it always displays the minute the control receives focus.

The Selected Background Colour sems to be displayed , if and only if, there is text in a box. If I land on a control , without any text, the background colour is not highlighted.

I am trying to clearly notify the user when they have landed on a control, which may or may not have any text in it.
