If your MACs are running OS X, SAMBA is the answer to your question. SAMBA is an implementation of the SMB protocol for unix (and unix-like) operating systems. If your MACs are not running OS X, or are older MACS not capable of running OS X, you could install a Power PC linux distribution such as yellow dog linux, and then set it up to be a bridge between your MAC network and your Windows network.
