Is it possible your color settings in VFP8 have corrupted so that you are like editting white text on a white background? Check the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualFoxPro\8.0\Options and look at the Editor* entries.

You might also try whacking your 8.0 Foxuser.dbf

Is it possible you are trying to use the same resource file between both environments?
