Thanks to David F I was able to get off the ground with controlling MapInfo, via MapBasic, from VFP. Now the wee problem I have is how to run MapBasic programettes from VFP. The manual on MapBasic Integrated Mapping says you can run MapBasic commands via automation, then gives scratchy examples in VB and C++ only. It also says that if you've already written compiled MapBasic programs (.MBX) then "...you can continue to use your existing code as part of an Integrated Mapping solution."

And that's it! No mention of how you actually integrate the code from VFP. I can get no joy from the MapInfo website either, and hardly a whisper on the whole web. A trifle frustrating.

Any help would be much appreciated.
