Norman, I too am trying to move from VFP tables to MS SQL tables. I've been working around SQL Server for a couple of years. Typically I've just been selecting data from a MS SQL table to pull in and update a VFP table. Now I've made the commitment to moving our VFP tables to a MS SQL backend and maintaining them there. There are a lot of issues you have to take into consideration and I've not worked them all out yet. There is a good book on the subject which has been helpful. It's from Hentzenwerke Publishing and it's title is 'Client/Server Applications with Visual FoxPro and SQL Server'. Good stuff! But the very best place of all is right here on the UT. Lotta good people will jump in and help you. All you have to do is ask...
Good Luck,
Jim White
Time is a wonderful teacher. Unfortunately it kills all of its students.
