thanks for your input. I fixed the problem by running regsrv32 on the 2 dll files and it registered both of them. I have administrator rights. I have no idea why it worked from one place and not another before that. It is not the 1st time I have seen strange stuff from registering stuff. Anyway it's fixed. Thanks.
