That "of" was a typo, sorry.
So I'd have to create my own references to it, which sounds like a workaround. The for... step -1 works fine, then - though I still have to handle grids, pageframes and button groups as separate cases. I wish they had the controls collection straight, and available in any class which can have members of any kind. I thought it would be true for VFP7 (I vaguely remember reading about that somewhere), but it seems to have gone just half way.
