Hi Fernando

I agree wholeheartedly. JVP has a sickening and extremely irritating need to always have the last words. We ask him sometimes gently and sometimes as directly as we can to please leave us alone in our discusssions, but with no luck. Sigh.....!

>John,
>
>The problem is that you already got a stigma, based on your many previous posts, be it by your arrogant questions, be it by your obnoxious comments or your lawful rhethoric.
>
>It seems that you're trying all the time to diminish people or to make them feel incompetent or loosers. Believe it or not, people generally don't like that and react according to their feelings.
>
>You like to play Mr Rational, to dismiss people's arguments, once more behaving arrogantly, and collecting anger from those you attacked.
>
>Why can't you try to be kind and help those of us that are experimenting bad times? We are not here to play games while money is falling abundantly over our heads. We are all grown ups, professionals, trying to take care of our families, and that's not an easy task these days.
>
>What happened to you that you can't be a good fellow and behave like one?
>
>If you are that smart how do you explain that many people are very unsatisfied with yout posts? Because you say things they don't want to hear? Them why don't you help them saying things that'll help them face their anguish and problems? You don't have anything to say to this sense? Then you'll take the risk of having people angry with you. Of course you can't quit and shut, you'd loose your pleasure of proving your superiority over all of us mere mortals.

>PS. BTW, your reply to my message seemed to be a good argument for your POV. (see how you can make it?)

>>Perhaps he thinks everybody is lucky, affortunate, competent and successfull like he is and don't need to work hardlly to have clients and make enough money to bring home.
>>>
>>
>>If you look at things rationally, you would see 1 - I did not highjack this thread and 2 - I don't feel as you claim I do. The original question was in how you deal with mom and pop clients that will not get on board with technology. If your app requires horsepower that a small client's machines do not support - you have a major problem. One of George Goley's favorite responses to people who would ask "What do you do when a client won't...." was to tell that person "Time to get new clients...".
>>
>>I used to think that was a crazy statement to make. As time goes by, it makes more and more sense. It is all about scaleability Fernando. A company that has formerly dealt with large companies cannot necessarily scale downward to properly deal with small mom/pop organizations.
>>
>>Again, the question was how do you deal with these small mom and pop orgs that won't get on board with certain basic requirements of the vendor. Put another way, the question deals with how you deal with small companies that won't invest in basic technololgy that would be automatic for larger customers (customers Mr. Buck apparently dealt with before).
>>
>>It is absolutely a relevant inquiry to ask what happened. Based on other posts, the large version of Mr. Buch's app is $120K and has a long sales cycle. I understand he may have other apps - but in the mom and pop space, $120K products with long sales cycles tend not to be very successful.
>>
>>Companies in the mom and pop space need to have products that are not dependent on customers having elaborate networks installed.
>>
>>
>>If you get beyond the personal back-biting - you will see - as long as you look at it objectively - the question and inquiry is 100% approprate.
