Hi Rod. I dont know about anybody else here but I must say I'm impressed. 800GB is an awesome database. There is no way, imo, that one could even consider using DBF for a database of this size. At least I wouldnt consider it. Well done.

Could VFP have been used as a frontend for that database? Was the decision to go VS.Net based on technical merit of .Net vs VFP, or was it MS marketing of VS.Net, or client requirements, or...?

Update: Sorry I realize I mis-read your post slightly. Rather my question is what is the front end written in, why, and could VFP have been used?
