Terry,
C/C++ can be a real handy thing to have in your toolbox. I did some heavy development in it for about 5 years before I got involved in dBase and then FoxPro. There are a couple of examples of how easy it really is to integrate C++ into VFP over on my website, they also show how some things can be done one or more orders of magnitude faster than VFP code. It's not too late go back and take a college level course. I went back to take another advanced data structures course and used it as an "excuse" to start C++ after doing C for quite a while.
>Yes - my eyes are still waiting for that moment to come:-). The VFP PRG was an amazing demo of the how Windows API interface works and VFP's ability to handshake with Windows functions. No seams and quick. Makes me want to take a C++ course! When I was schooled, kernels were either UNIX stuff, or on the MS drawing board.
