I finally did find some coherent documentation in the
Microsoft knowledge base articles. After that everything
else that I read made more sense, not total sense, but more.
Apparently, you must use the OLE Container Control "object"
property to access the PEM's proprietary to the OCX.
I didn't previously understand the relationship between the
OCX and the OLE Container Control, they form such a seemingly
seamless entity, I didn't realize there was a door you had
to go through to get to the Outline control. In fact, the
"expand" property is the first OCX specific property that I
found required this "object" avenue. ListIndex, Indent,
AddItem, and PictureType, none of these required ".Object."
to get to them. Something isn't standard in OCX land!!
I tried to post this to the Yellow Pages Thread on Apr 23rd,
but we were having TCP/IP configuration problems. I kept
getting an error about a Firewall or ISP config problem.
What Firewall? I never even saw any smoke! :-)>
