I agree with David.
The overhead involved is insignificant to the advantages of using OOP methodologies where appropriate.
If you are planning on using VFP to build a business database solution it is a no brainer. You would be better off worrying about optimizing data access, indexes, and network load than to worry about how long it takes VFP to make a form object.
Unless you are planning on using VFP to develop some sort of game (not a good solution for VFP anyway) that needs every ounce of GUI performance you are being pennywise and dollar foolish.
