Well I got it fixed by going on the clients site using the scx as a table copying the data to a dbf, fpt. Then copied to my system and renaming the dbf&fpt to scx&sct. That worked. I'll study the links you provided to figure out what is happening. I doubt this has anything to do with virus - most likely something to do with windows 2000.
