John,

FYI - each and every one of these items you enumerate above can be accomplished in other languages- both on the client and the server. Granted, it may not the exact same way - but they can all be done - and fairly efficiently.

Yeah, but don't look at what expense...

>Your way of thinking is crippled to the extent that you cannot think outside the Fox-Box.

No your way of thinking is crippled by not knowing what a local database can do for you.
FYI, I think more out of the FOX box as you might think. I've done a fair bit of C/C++, pascal, SQL, T-SQL, Dbase, Basic, Assembly to know what is available in to program in. I've got a far more global overview of the narrow world you are living in. I see trends and what is wrong with that trend. You're just a slave of what vendors feed you without questioning the validness of what they are offering. Your urge to move people to VB poreviously and to .NET prove this standpoint.

No john, you cannot acuse me of not having a founded opinion. You OTOH are very quick in making statements without providing any prove with the help of examples. You are the one who presents his opinions as facts. You cannot acuse me of giving examples of my theories nor giving you the opportunity to prove otherwise.

You are unable to try to understand what anybody else is dealing with. All you can do with your very limited communication skills is projecting your vision of your personal project on the whole VFP community. It does not regard of any intellect.

I guess you will succeed in beeing a lawyer....
