Hi, Mandy!

>I really appreciate your advice, Martin. But, I still would like to know: which is the interface element each pair controls?

Just now I notice who you are!!! Glad to see you here.

Well, if you want to know about the colo pairs, here is, right from FPD 2.6 Help file:
Color Table by Color Pair
------------------------------------------------
	Color Code
	------------------------------------------------
	Black N
	Blank X
	Blue B
	Brown GR
	Cyan BG
	Green G
	Magenta RB
	Red R
	White W
	Yellow GR+

On monochrome monitors, only four "colors" are available:
white (W), black (N), underlined (U) and inverse video (I).

An asterisk (*) can be added to denote blinking or bright
(depending on your video hardware and the BLINK setting) for the background color.
A plus sign (+) denotes high intensity for the foreground color.
