Don´t know the guy as I´m not a native american, but you´re comparing yourself with this guy while you acknowledge that there are more knowledgable people when it comes to .NET ? Smart move...
>

Yes...I acknowledge there are people (a lot of people) that know more about .NET than I do. Nonetheless, I am fairly sure I have more knowledge than you on the subject - both academic and real-world.

This is a priceless statement.

Correct...so why mention it.

It is like some of the resumes I get from people that "know" 20 programming languages. They go directly to the circular file as do the ones that lead off with certification.

Besides this it gives you a great overview of how computers actually work.

Assembly is pretty low-level stuff. Not sure if the phrase "overview" is a good word to use.

I´ve got a very good overview of languange from a 1GL to 5GL, so again you cannot acuse me of not knowing out of the VFP box.

I accuse you of not thinking out of the Fox Box. I am sure you "know of" and are "aware" of many non-fox items. That is a different issue altogether.

So tell me what are you doing know with VB.NET ? Only to learn it as an additional tool ??

You mean besides the hours I have billed making money with the product...not much else...< bg >...
