Hi Jos

Sorry for taking you away from your wine :-)

I am taking from my memory, which also is not working at top gear now, from the lack of alcohole. I will start filling that hole in a few minutes. So if you answer this message, and don't hear from me within the first hours, you will know why.

I seem to remember that the default for phDbase is not to index on words shorter than three characters. If you choose to include shorter words in the index, the index file will be much bigger.

Now I have to leave you for more important (liquid) stuff! <bg>

>Hi Tore. Not sure what you think I am kidding about? I weally, weally am dwinking sum wine.

>iro PHDbase, I used it for a project a couple of years ago and it does not have a limit on searching for 2 letter words. In fact, I did a quick test now on it and it definitely can search for 2 letter words. And also on 1 letter words :)

>>In case you are not kidding, here is an explanation based on my knowledge about UT. AFAIK UT uses phDbase to index and search for text. phDbase will only index words which are minimum 3 charaecters in length. That is why you have to enter words which are 3 characters long or longer. If any of the words you enter are shorter than 3 chareacters, you will get an error message.
