Thanks Alejandro... do you work for me? just kidding... <g>

Yes, the framework is really where most of the work went in this product. For me personally a light level of abstraction is very important to be productive and I've tried hard to strike a balance between ease of use and performance and flexibility. As you know the model here is somewhat similar to the business objects used in Web Connection, although the .Net version provides a lot more functionality and flexibility.

This is not a framework in the traditional sense - it's more like a light weight business and data access layer that doesn't try to do everything under the sun but focuses on the core features using a mostly record/object based metaphor which can reduce manual data access code significantly. In the store application and offline there's very little actual data access code written anywhere as the base object takes care of all that for you, and to me anyway that's what really brings productivity...

What's in the store is sort of a culmination of all the things that I've built into a package. Although I use this stuff for just about every app I work on the store at the moment is the vehicle to get it out. At some point I should probably break out the framework stuff, but for right now the Store will have to do <g>...

Thanks, again,

>The framework is small and approachable, with the complexity encapsulated, which contrasts with .NET's overwhelming size. It looks like a time efficient way to ease into .NET. Rick wrote somewhere that .NET makes hard things easy and easy things hard, and it seems he has tried to fix that problem.
