He lost me with the "SAP has a VFP Backbone" statement. SAP has nothing whatsoever to do with VFP AFAIK. I'll be happy to entertain some correct data on that. How it all related to his original comment on how hard it is to educate management leaves me a bit non-plussed.
The bottom line Jim is that if you can identify and sell to a market to your financial benefit - you should do so. That is just good business. In the shrink-wrapped environment, what the app is written in is far less important than in the custom-software environment.
