>"The problem with JVP and his rhetoric is that some folk on this board might start believing that what he says has some credibility."
>That Gary is you expressing an opinion about the credibility of my opinion.

No, it is me suggesting that what you say is simply your opinion and that certain people may think your opinion in credible. It is a matter of opinion as to whether your opinion is in fact credible. You clearly think you have a credible opinion. Others do not.

>Some sure...but most??? I think you are wrong. It is the same handful that express this opinion.

Some people are more vocal than others. You should know that. I think the reactions you garner are from more than a "handful".

>I don't care about your opinion. What you say or do does not affect me one iota.
>Yes you do. Otherwise, you would simply ignore what I write.

No, I care about the tool which is why on occasion, I cannot ignore what you write about it.

>No...you agreed with Houston.

No I didn't expressly agree with Houston irrespective of what I actually feel.

>Right..you don't want potential customers listening to me as it could be bad business for you.

No, I wouldn't want customers reading your many negative posts and getting the wrong impression of a very good tool.

>You meant growth markets, right. To say "other" growth markets implies you meant the Fox market is growing.

If this is how you intepreted my words then plainly, I didn't express myself clearly enough. I don't think that Fox is a growth market for Fox tool vendors who have the talent to create non-Fox tools. I was effectively referring to .NET, Java et al.

>The bottom line, you simply like the software language... No problem there.

I like it. But I like other development tools too.

>Miles better? Technically sure. Perception wise, no it is not...

Yup, it is much better. "Perception wise", is a different issue. In the corporate world, the Fox perception has never been that good. A lot of businesses that I have experienced are more interested in whether the solution they are paying for will solve business problems and are generally not overly interested in what lies under the hood.
