Hi,

I look after a server with the SBS and the Exchange software installed. During the day the speed of the network slows down considerably. After investigation I found that in the Task Manager there is the process "WinMngt.exe" that is using 99% of the cpu. I understand that this is the Windows Management process.

I have went into the services and found the Windows Management Instrumentation service and manually stopped it. This resolved the speed issue of the network, but the service restarts and then slows down the network.

Also when the server/network slows down, this affects the Exchange server as well.

Do I change the Windows Management ... service to manual to stop it from restarting?

Also what do I need to do to the Exchange server to stop it from going down?

thanks in advance,

Jason
