Yeah, I've wondered that myself...some of the quirky things that I've seen are things I've also seen in VFP, but I don't know if it's a coincidence.

BTW, I don't know if you saw Eric and Bonnie's responses, but they offered 2 workarounds that might be cleaner than what I've tried in the past.
