Hi John,

I did an FTP evaluation about five or six years ago, and decided on Transoft FTP Control. It was a shareware application that I downloaded for use with my web site, back when my web site was hosted by Hostway out of Chicago,Illnois. I liked it, so I purchased it for $99.00.

It had all the usual feature, but included its own scripting language. It would allow me to write scripts to automate FTP transfers between the Hostway site and my desktop system. The scripts could be compiled into binaries, so I could distribute a script to a client, and the client could perform FTP functions by clicking on a desktop icon.

I may have taken a look at cuteFTP back then, but I can't remember anything about it.

I reinstalled Transoft on my Window XP computer the other day and was able to easily register it. I also click on the update button, and received all the Transoft FTP Control current stuff.

Regards,

LelandJ
