Hi Thomas,

>A question if I may. I do ASP work for Toyota/General Motors. We are moving to .NET and I would like to know what type of applications you would recommend your framework to be use with? We do data entry (defective parts), control rework and obtain reports as one example. We also do things to control the production line (PLC & ALC for example).

It can be applied to any type of application of course. As I mentioned in the previous message, it's not an all encompassing framework like say Mere Mortals. It just provides the basic data access layer, business object layer and a number of common support classes primarily for Web applications but also from WinForms. As such it's more like a rich toolset than a full framework.

You can get a pretty good idea by taking a look at the documentation at:

http://www.west-wind.com/westwindwebstore/docs/

You can find info on teh business object framework as well as samples that take you through the Web Store implementation that shows how to apply this functionality in a live scenario.

Regards,

>>>The framework is small and approachable, with the complexity encapsulated, which contrasts with .NET's overwhelming size. It looks like a time efficient way to ease into .NET. Rick wrote somewhere that .NET makes hard things easy and easy things hard, and it seems he has tried to fix that problem.
>>>
>>>Great design.
