I was a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) from the mid 90's until last year, a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) during the late 90's, and received the first Microsoft Visual FoxPro Lifetime Achievement Award in October of 2002. So why am I moving to Linux?

Whatever others say we have to consider one thing. There are frequently hidden agendas and/or it depends on the work that has to be done. Nobody holds the absolute truth.

You have to go with how you feel your future will be affected.

Every situation is peculiar. It depends on so many factors that you should'nt panic because you use or you don't use a particular toolset.

I'm sure that you could find developers that left the .Net world to go to Delphi. Others left Delphi to go to Java.

So in the end it's a good thing to read what others says but it should'nt be considered as the last word.
