>>When I try to install a variety of Windows software on Win95, I get Error 105. Is Install Shield part of Windows 95? I think it (Install Shield) is corrupt on my pc, how do I get a new copy?

>InstallShield isn't a part of Win95. It's a standalone application used to create installation sets for an application. So if you write an app, you would use InstallShield (one of the products out there) to creat setup disks, internet files (the EXEs you download and contain all the files...) Actually, I find that most applications for Win95 use InstallShield as their installation routine.

www.installshield.com If that doesn't help, contact the software vendor or creator.
After I posted the message I tracked down their website.
Error 105 means that a file is missing needed to run the setup. Since the install program (EXE) works on other machines, the problem is with the setup of Win95 on my machine. Probably a DLL or something missing. I have requested a reinstall of Win95 from our app support guys.
Thanks Hugo.
