Hi everyone:

I have a linux server utilizing Samba connected to a number of windows machines. When people log onto the their own computer with Windows 98/ME, they can access the samba shares without any problem. When people log onto their windows xp or 2000 computers, when they try to access a samba share, they are given an "incorrect password" message with a prompt for username and password. When they enter their username and password, everything is fine.

I realize that this can have something to do with encrypted passwords, but i have enabled that in Samba. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!
