I worked with a text version (UNIX/FoxBase) in 92-93. That version was a C+ library. The psuedo xBase syntax were C functions. It was a large FoxBase application (almost 200K likes - hey, I didn't write it!). The conversion was not easy.
They have a new "Visual FlagShip 5.1" demo available for download.
The last time I went to that site was about July. From time to time I get some dBase GOLD/2000 letters. They're supposed to be building a cross platform engine.
With a little effort and MS cooperation, we could be doing VFP projects on Linux. Kind of exciting to see a market take off like Linux is! Sure would like to play in it!
>Terry,
>I saw that you mentioned Flagship in a different thread (Whil moving to Linux I think). Have you used Flagship? (anyone else feel free to respond also) Is it a good product?
>I went to their website (
www.fship.com). The webpage has not been updated since July 2003 and that got me a little worried. The product seems interesting.
>Anyways I was just wondering if anybody here on UT had some thoughts to share about Flagship.
