I would like to find out your backup scheme if you are developing or have a system that is basically stand alone and have a SQL or MSDE backend. Let's say the customer does not have a lot of computer experience and might not have an IT department. Do you ask the user to use the backup capability build into SQL Enterprise Manager? Do you write your own backup system (Exprot to XML)? How about DMO or WMI?

How do you handle data schema changes? Run a SQL Script? How do you prevent user from restoring an old backup from previous version?

Are there any data dictionary system that support SQL?
