I'm not exactly clear on what you are trying to explain so I apologize up frnot if this answer doesn't match up with your problem.

Set the height of the Page Header to the height of the logo at the top of the paper. Now your detail lines should start printing after the logo. Also, make sure that if the objects in the detail band are marked as "stretch with overflow" that the data is trimmed so you don't have a ton of spaces or CHR(13)s at the end of the data that is causing it to wrap.
