I think they would trundle more services with VFP - but what would all those 3rd party tier integration shops do? They'd ahve to start wrtiting user apps again:-)

FoxBase is still doing a lot of work - there is a shop here in Houston that has 400 dumb terminals hooked to a UNIX/FoxBase server. They have one DBA - he mostly hangs out at the water cooler - barely has to work:-)

dBase IV was cool too! My DOS dBaseIV object code would run on Xenix!
