I appreciate your earlier reply even though it did not resolve my problem. I finally came up with a solution through a lot of searching and trial and error. Here it is if your are interested.

I placed the following code in the refresh method of the activex control for the crviewer:

this.refreshex(.t.)
thisform.updateparameterfields()

I am going to try and move it the the resize method to reduce screen flicker.
