This is a serious problem for me(us)... I make statistic systems with thousands of of calculations using the round()-function. I never noticed this bug until now; i was checking some Oracle calculation-output wich i have to build in one of my Visual FoxPro- app's.

Now i have to check all my systems...

Well, now, you known the fact.

I use SQL Server, and in the definitive version of the my application,
all the calculations come carried out from SQL Server.

I suggest you to think seriously next to this solution:

Oracle makes all the calculations,
otherwise you will not be able to have the reasonable certainty that the values that you obtain always are corrected.
