I am not really sure what your point is. As I am reading the article, I see references to President Bush saying the threat is imminent, but none of them quoting him, or anyone else in the administration. The Los Angeles Times headline from January 29th 2003 reads:

THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS; Bush Calls Iraq Imminent Threat

Of course, he didn't say that. In fact, in the speech he points out that we shouldn't wait for a threat to be imminent:

Some have said we must not act until the threat is imminent. Since when have terrorists and tyrants announced their intentions, politely putting us on notice before they strike? If this threat is permitted to fully and suddenly emerge, all actions, all words, and all recriminations would come too late. Trusting in the sanity and restraint of Saddam Hussein is not a strategy, and it is not an option.

I stand by what I wrote earlier: President Bush never said that Iraq was an imminent threat. Some in the media said it, but President Bush never did.

Again, what is your point?

This guy didn't quite do his research, did he?

The US has invoked legitimate defence to justify its attack on Iraq, but for domestic public consumption - trying to link the 11 September attacks to the Baghdad regime (an unproven case) - and not for the Security Council.

The administration never tried to link September 11th to Iraq. Never. If you have some articles with some credibility, I'll be glad to read them.
