OK, maybe I am just now noticing, but in XP, the file names in Windows Explorer somehow use a "natural" index. For example, if I had lots of QCFXX.doc files, they would be ordered thusly:

QCF1.doc
QCF2.doc
QCF3.doc
QCF4.doc
QCF5.doc
QCF6.doc
QCF7.doc
QCF8.doc
QCF9.doc
QCF10.doc
QCF11.doc
QCF12.doc
QCF13.doc

rather than the VFP index order of:

QCF1.doc
QCF10.doc
QCF11.doc
QCF12.doc
QCF13.doc
QCF2.doc
QCF3.doc
QCF4.doc
QCF5.doc
QCF6.doc
QCF7.doc
QCF8.doc
QCF9.doc

Anyone know how this is done? I have used dummy placeholders (e.g. QCF01.doc) to ensure an order, but the users don't know them by these names.

TIA,
