What driver are you using? Microsoft ODBC for Oracle or an Oracle ODBC driver? If Oracle, open your ODBC/Data Source Manager and click the Drivers tab. What is the exact driver name and version? Second, what is the code you are using to "verify" the connection? Have you used SQLSetProp to change any of the default settings?
