I did it similar to this. I just created a fake database then created a remote view for each access table I wanted in my vfp database. I then just opened up the remote view and did a "copy to tablename database mydatabase". Seems to work pretty well and allows fieldnames to remain intact. The only thing I noticed is that the remote view is not indexed so I have to recreate the indexes manually. I tend to stay away from Access also, a new client of mine wants to get away from it too so I'm helping him do that :-) Thanks for the help guys.
